Mya is making me laugh non-stop. She has the cutest expressions on her face. She is starting to talk more with a lot of goo and gaa sounds. And she is actually starting to smile with her mouth open. Although she sleeps very often, at times she will fight her hardest to try and wake up. Just when you think she's dozing off, her eyes pop open. She likes to be jiggled and to be patted on her booty. So far she loves listening to lullabies and enjoys watching her Backyardigands (Brady and Arlene got me into this).
Yesterday she met her new cousin, Matthew Rudolph Lim Lee. Matthew is such a sweetheart and he is already talking (okay, i mean, making sounds.) The proud parents are doing well. At the hospital, one of the nurses mistook Mya for a 2 month old baby, and was completely surprised that she was only 3.5 weeks old. She said it was because Mya was so alert and responsive to her environment. That's my girl! =)
We drove up to the hospital with Noel, Arlene, and Brady. Mya slept through the whole ride. For lunch we went to a hawaiian restaurant, Hukilau, that was close by to the hospital. It was the first time that Mya was outside and not in her car seat. Franny put her in her snugli while we walked to the restaurant and kept her in that while we ate. She was very well-behaved during lunch.
The funniest thing happened when we went back to the hospital and it was time to feed her. While I was wiping off her chin, I noticed there was a very small object near her neck. I picked it up, examined it, and noticed it was a piece of scrambled egg. Gross! Franny was eating his scrambled egg while he had Mya in the snugli with him earlier at Hukilau. It must have fell on her while he was taking a bite. Yucky, yucky. At least everyone got a chuckle from it though.

I'm not a messy eater! You try having a kid on your chest while you try to eat spam, eggs and rice.
