Mya's Welcome Party

Yesterday, Mya had her welcome party into our family. Actually, she had 2, yes, count 'em, 2, welcome parties. Joanne's sister-in-laws and Mom were kind enough to offer their house, their skills, their food, their money, and their hospitality to throw two welcome parties - one for Joanne's Dad's side of the family, and one for her Mom's side and my family. Yup, we've got family, alright. The first party went from 12 to 4pm and the second shift was from 5 to 8pm. We didn't get home until 11pm. Needless to say, we were beat. Mya slept through the entire second party, until we finally woke her up when everyone was leaving. It was a bit weird to have the welcome party take the place of the pre-emptive, traditional baby shower, but it was a wonderful day, nonetheless. Arlene, Lorraine, and Mom did a fabulous job with the decorations and food. They also organized the games, invitiations, thank you favors, and picture frame that everyone signed.

Mya had a wonderful time with her cousins, aunties, uncles, lolas, and lolos.

We, the guests, had fun too! I like the welcome party too where we can see and hold the celebrant! :) It was nice to see everyone again.
