8 months old
Mommy and Daddy have not been doing a good job in keeping up with Mya's baby book. It has been over 2 months since our last entry. So much has changed! Mya currently has about 8 teeth. She has been teething a lot, which means she is also pretty moody at times. The teething is bothering her so much that if you play with her long enough, she will surely try to bite a part of your body. Just ask her Lolo Johnny or Auntie Arlene. She frequently tries to bite me on my neck, shoulder and knee. Her bite is strong, too. It leaves you with a definite mark.

Another milestone is that she is crawling more. She started crawling with just her elbows at around 6.5 months, but now she is crawling with her hands. She's so fast! When she crawls near any piece of furniture, especially the sofa or bed, she always trys to pull herself up into the standing position. She will actually hold on to something and stay in the standing position while she supports herself. She does this so often now. We have to watch her very carefully because her balance is not perfect yet and she has a tendency to fall on her butt or her side. Of course when she does fall, she just gets herself back up to repeat the whole thing over again. She's very determined.
She loves to watch her baby einsten videos. Her favorites are Baby Newton, Baby Shakespeare, and Baby DoLittle. She absolutely loves the puppets! She even talks back to some of them. Her favorite is the lion.
Mya has been getting into eating her cheerios lately. She likes the taste or maybe she likes how it feels when she bites down on them. She knows how to feed herself, which is great because it frees up my hands to do other things. Speaking of hands, she loves to clap her hands together and has just recently learned to high five!
That's about it for the updates...if I forgot anything, I'm sure her daddy will write about it in here. Don't forget to check out her new month 6 and month 7 photos on her website. She also has 4 new videos.
